Heilsuvera.is is a website for the public about health and its determinants. Within my pages is a secure web space where one can interact with healthcare professionals and access data from their own medical records.
Heilsuvera is a website in continuous development. Its first part, my pages, was launched on October 9, 2014. The knowledge section of the website came to light on November 3, 2016. Chat functionality became available on December 20, 2017, and the service website went live on October 31, 2018.
Heilsuvera initially started as a collaborative project between the Health Care Services of the Capital Area and the Directorate of Health. In May 2022, Landspítalinn (The National University Hospital of Iceland) joined this collaboration.
The goal of the website is to provide the public with reliable knowledge about development, health, healthcare determinants, diseases, abnormalities, and symptoms.
Many specialists and contributors have supported us with articles, lectures, suggestions, and valuable advice. We extend our sincerest thanks to all of them.
My pages are under the responsibility of the Directorate of Health, while the external website is the responsibility of the Health Care Services of the Capital Area.
